What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Maintenance Helper - Summer position at SUGAR BOWL SKI RESORT?
Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for summer lift maintenance support the Lift Maintenance team with the summer maintenance program. The Lift Maintenance Helper will perform routine preventative maintenance including grip, line and terminal work, and will conduct start up and shut down duties on ski lifts. The Lift Maintenance Helper is a crucial team member of the summer, supporting the efforts to maintain the longevity of the lift system at Sugar Bowl Resort.
This position runs from June 2, 2025, to October 24, 2025, providing essential support to ensure everything stays running smoothly at Sugar Bowl Resort.

What you will do
- Complete all mandatory trainings and have manager sign off accordingly
- Perform basic preventative maintenance duties which include, but are not limited

- Sheave cleaning and disassembly
- Sheave inspection for cracks, snap ring groove tolerances, snap ring wear
- Sheave bearing removal and replacement
- Sheave liner removal and replacement
- Sheave painting and date stenciling
- Solvent tank use for cleaning ski lift parts
- Removal of carriers from lifts
- Removing grips from carriers
- Team carrying detachable grips
- Assist with grip disassembly
- Grip parts washing
- Maintenance record keeping
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work place
- Complete and submit written work documentation
- Be an advocate for company policies and adhere to them
