What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman position at SUGAR BOWL SKI RESORT?
Ensure the maintenance and safe operation of all Sugar Bowl | Royal Gorge vehicular assets. Safely and efficiently trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair all diesel and gas powered vehicles, as well as their corresponding hydraulic and electrical systems. Mentor and assist in training of co-workers for the greater good of the team. Deliver a safe and complete product to support the ongoing pursuit to provide a world class experience for our customers.

Who you are
- Must hold courtesy and safety in utmost priority
- Journeyman Level experience in the troubleshooting and repair of diesel/gas Engines
- Journeyman Level experience in the trouble shooting and repair of electrical/hydraulic systems
- Journeyman fabricator
- Self-starter who is capable of prioritization and implementation of work load
- Well versed in the operation of all vehicles / equipment maintenance
- Ability to work in, and adapt to, a sometimes high stress, fast paced environment which can include extreme weather and situational conditions
What you will do
- Possess advanced skills to troubleshoot and repair diesel and gas engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Provide your own set of tools & tool box required to repair diesel and gas engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
- Work with Shop Supervisor and Fleet & Roads Director to hone personal and team efficiencies
- Maintain concise and thorough communication with team members and SB Departments
- Demonstrate excellent, efficient and pertinent fabrication skills
- Assist with foresight into inventory needs to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a safe, clean and presentable work place on a daily basis
- Complete and properly document all work performed
- Mentor, train and guide fellow teammates
- Be an advocate for company policies and values
