GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation of the direct and/or yard cane truck dumping stations during the processing season.
- At the conclusion of the Crop Season, if applicable, the individual selected can expect to return to their Repair Season position (or similar position) at the appropriate rate of pay.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks.
- Dumping cane into conveyor, make certain that the Mill Laboratory receives readings per trailer, maintaining (greasing jacks, etc.) as well as cleaning the equipment and facilities of the cane dumping stations will be required.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have intermediate mechanical aptitude.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comprehend and convey mechanical information.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use a computer and scanning tools.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Bilingual and Biliterate – English and Spanish, preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, GED (or equivalent experience), with BASIC mechanical and operating skills with at least three (3) years of experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Must be able to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular attendance is required during your schedule shift.
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and foggy working conditions depending on weather.
- Must be able to work in all positions (bending, climbing steps, kneeling, reaching and crawling) and be able to continuously lift from 25 to 50 pounds.
