GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Research Helper assists the Research Technician with research projects related to agriculture. They may work in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse setting, and their duties may vary depending on the research project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with collecting and preparing samples.
- Assist with conducting experiments, such as planting crops or applying pesticides.
- Assist with collecting and recording data using a variety of methods.
- Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Ability to perform physical tasks in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse setting, which may involve standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
LICENSES REQUIRED: Regular Class "E" Driver's License
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with laboratory and/or field research.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular attendance is required during scheduled shifts.
- Sitting, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Lifting occasionally up to 25 pounds.
