What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at SUGAR CANE GROWERS COOPERATIVE OF FLORIDA?
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Warehouse Associate supports SCGCs warehouse operations. Responsibilities include receiving, inputting, sorting, loading and unloading products and performing various warehouse activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process internal customer orders, picking, kitting, and perform shipping activities
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
- Inspect products for defects and damage.
- Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and clean warehouse space, internal and external.
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
- Overstock maintenance and organization.
- Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
- Team player with organizational skills
- Ability to lift or move heavy products.
LICENSES REQUIRED: Regular Class E Drivers license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven warehouse experience
- High school diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regular attendance is required during scheduled working, may include nights and weekends.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
