Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma required.
  2. Prior experience with working with Power School, analyzing data, or strong background working with technology.
  3. Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines.
  4. Professional office experience and love for children.
  5. Ability to take instructions and work well with others.
  6. Passion for working with the public.
  7. Experience with analyzing data, working with technology and fine attention to detail.

Reports to: Superintendent, Principal, Director or Supervisor

 

Job Goal: To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning office. To provide assistance to staff and public when needed.

 

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Performs usual office routines and practices associated with busy and productive office environment.
  2. Answers and routes in-coming calls.
  3. Prepares daily and weekly Power School back-up.
  4. Maintains the Power School database of students and teachers.
  5. Enters all new students in Power School.
  6. Assigns library/lunch numbers to students and notifies library, lunchroom, and technology specialist.
  7. Completes State Department reports.
  8. Prepares daily attendance record keeping.
  9. Makes phone calls to parent/guardian regarding attendance after 3 days.
  10. Distributes attendance letters for 5 days unexcused/ 10 days unexcused absences.
  11. Prints scan sheets every two weeks.
  12. Provides a print-out of new students and withdrawals as needed.
  13. Prints student labels as needed.
  14. Assists in registering new students.
  15. Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Terms of Employment: 200 day contract. Salary and work year established by the Board of Trustees. Compensated according to FMSD S3 Salary Schedule. Salary placement commensurate with education and experience.

 

Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the board’s policy on evaluation of non- certified personnel
