DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Oversee and provide support to all Plant MRO Teams by providing direction on ways to improve uptime, optimize spend, find cost-out solutions, support all plant emergency activities, and review high-usage items using root cause analysis. Work directly with Plant MRO Managers to support continuous improvement activities, improve repair programs, provide training, and conduct maintenance resource planning reviews based on usage. Provide leadership and guidance to Plant MRO Teams to foster a safety focused culture of accountability while continuously improving performance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate Degree in Electromechanical Technical Studies Program or related field; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management a plus.
Experience: 5 years in an MRO-related role required; management experience preferred; SAP experience a plus.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: APICS, CPIM, ASQ LSSBB, SMRP, or CMRP preferred.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with typical MRO management positions, including some sitting with some standing/walking required. Other light physical activity like using stairs or occasionally moving items weighing less than 50lbs may be required as needed. Some travel is required in between plants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Some travel is required between company facilities and different project locations.
Some work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility. Some work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facilities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement MRO policies and procedures to guide and improve plant maintenance planning activities.
- Monitor, audit, and track maintenance performance around key performance metrics including:
- Maintenance Expenses for both materials and outside services.
- Labor and capacity utilization of internal workforce.
- Total asset maintenance histories of fixed assets.
- Equipment reliability and availability metrics, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
- Inventory utilization and turns to drive just in time (JIT) availability of spare parts.
- Maintenance order execution performance such as scheduling adherence, balance of planned and unplanned activities, labor reporting, and accuracy of work completion reporting.
- Provide training and assist with job plans created by Maintenance Planners to extend the life expectancy of equipment.
- Seek out new vendor opportunities as they arise to drive competition regarding procurement of maintenance materials and services.
- Support the corporate program that creates supplier scorecards regarding quality, service, lead times, fill rates, payment terms, and other applicable information.
- Support company operations by continuously looking for ways to reduce total maintenance costs, extend the life of the equipment, and deliver increased quality performance of the manufacturing operation.
- Assist with expedited requests for emergency maintenance activities for the plants.
- Oversee high-value expenditure requests for maintenance activities, reviewing each request to determine if it is warranted and properly supported with documentation.
- Act as an escalation point of contact for sites regarding vendor support issues.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support all SugarCreek safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow all site safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
