DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of Maintenance Technicians and assist in maintaining and repairing production equipment and facility equipment and structures. Create work schedules for reporting Maintenance Technicians, ensuring adequate staffing to meet plant maintenance needs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or equivalent experience; vocational training in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
Experience: 3 years of experience in maintenance role, preferable in a food manufacturing facility.
Certification Requirements: None required.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
No unusual physical requirements. Physical requirements are consistent with typical industrial maintenance positions, including some sitting with some standing/walking required. Other physical activity like using stairs or moving items weighing less than 50lbs is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Sometravel to other locations is required.
Little work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility. Most work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required, including hard hat, hairnet, hearing protection, safety glasses, steel toe boots, coats and other necessary equipment. Very little work is performed outside of the manufacturing facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Maintenance Technicians and providedirection regarding repair of production equipment as well as structuralrepairs to masonry, woodwork and building fixtures.
- Support Maintenance Technicians on theirindividual career paths and provide them opportunities to achieve professionalgoals/objectives.
- Utilize the Computerized MaintenanceManagement System (CMMS) to develop a total maintenance program to includepreventive and predictive maintenance.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensurework orders are initiated, modified and maintained.
- Work with the Maintenance Parts-Order Clerk toensure all parts and materials used are accounted for and processed in the inventorymanagement software ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Conduct continuous training on all aspects ofSugarCreek maintenance procedures and relevant work safety requirements(Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, etc.)
- Perform data collection and providefeedback/reports as requested by Plant Management.
- Submit purchase requests for tools, equipmentand supplies as needed.
- Inspect completed work for conformance toblueprints, specifications and standards.
- Review past production schedules and estimatehour requirements for completion of different job assignments, usinginformation to create efficient work schedules for future projects.
- Explain company safety policies, SanitationStandard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to MaintenanceTechnicians and relevant plant employees to reinforce proper compliance.
- Work with Maintenance Manager to establish oradjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and useof equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Address employee issues in the MaintenanceDepartment as needed, elevating to Plant HR and Plant Management whennecessary.
- Coordinate with other Plant Supervisors/Managerson maintenance projects to minimize downtime.
- Comply with federal, state, and companypolicies, procedures and regulations.
- Support all safety, food quality andsanitation initiatives and policies.
- Follow SugarCreek safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
