Job Summary
Sugar Creek Packing Co., a leading food manufacturer, seeks a skilled Maintenance Training Development Manager to join its team. As a key member of the Plant Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining personnel training documentation to ensure all maintenance employees are properly trained to perform their duties competently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain training materials in collaboration with Plant Management and Maintenance Teams.
- Create and continuously improve orientation materials for new hires.
- Assist in developing training overview dashboards as needed.
- Draft and update training materials and annual training plans based on testing results.
- Develop Train-the-Trainer materials for all skills.
- Proctor promotional skills tests.
- Track site maintenance training KPIs.
- Travel to company sites for on-site support.
- Perform auditing tasks, including preventative maintenance, safety, and site walks.
- Manage reliability engineering programs.
- Partner with maintenance teams to educate employees on maintenance training software.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies.
- Support safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 4 years in a maintenance engineering role required; experience in food manufacturing setting preferred.
- Possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Able to communicate complex information effectively to other employees.
- Able to troubleshoot effectively to diagnose mechanical issues.
- Know how to use basic computer programs like Microsoft Office.
- Able to strictly follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Able to work collaboratively with plant personnel, departments, and management.
Work Environment
Some work is performed in a comfortable, indoor, office-like facility. Some work is performed in an indoor, manufacturing facility with close proximity to heavy and hazardous machinery. Safety wear is required.
