We’re seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team and share responsibilities with another Production Supervisor in this dynamic, split-shift role. This position is critical to ensuring excellence in cheese manufacturing, including product quality, staffing, employee development, budgeting, and maintenance. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of skilled employees to achieve exceptional quality, high standards, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
The starting salary range for this position is between $82,000 - $90,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

We’re seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team and share responsibilities with another Production Supervisor in this dynamic, split-shift role. This position is critical to ensuring excellence in cheese manufacturing, including product quality, staffing, employee development, budgeting, and maintenance. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of skilled employees to achieve exceptional quality, high standards, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Share responsibilities with the other Production Supervisor to ensure smooth operations across shifts. Maintain consistent communication to align on goals and processes.
- 6-week rotating schedule with the other Production Supervisor between AM and PM shift times; alternating weekends
- Provide hands-on oversight to produce cheeses that achieve world-class quality and awards.
- Hire, train, and mentor highly skilled and effective employees.
- Lead your team to meet or exceed food safety standards, including serving as a HACCP team member. Achieve strong BRC and regulatory audit scores.
- Develop and adhere to operating budgets. Manage inventory levels to maximize throughput and productivity.
- Obtain a state pasteurizer certification and train operators in proper techniques.
- Ensure the production floor remains visually appealing for the millions of customers who visit annually. Oversee repairs and maintenance of cheese-making equipment.
- Schedule employees, manage payroll, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Develop work instructions, e-learning modules, and other essential documentation.
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience in a food production environment (experience in cheese or dairy is a PLUS).
- Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively, both written and orally.
- Familiarity with HACCP & GMP practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, stand for long periods, and lift up to 65 pounds.
