About the Role:
We are seeking a mechanical and electrical experienced individual conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service and other tasks to join our 2nd shift team at Sugar Steel Corporation in Chicago Heights, IL. As a Maintenance Tech you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading steel manufacturing company and be a part of our dedicated team.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conducting regular preventive maintenance inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Assisting with equipment installations and upgrades.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, production machines.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics; exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent.
