Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Customer Service & Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will help customers find the perfect pieces for their homes while providing exceptional service in a welcoming, family-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide guidance on product selection, design ideas, and store offerings.
- Assist customers in finding furniture and decor that match their needs, style, and budget.
- Offer design recommendations and product knowledge to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Provide personalized customer service, ensuring each customer’s experience is positive and memorable.
- Product Knowledge & Merchandising:
- Stay up-to-date on product inventory, features, and design trends to confidently assist customers with their selections.
- Maintain a visually appealing sales floor by organizing merchandise and creating eye-catching displays.
- Help restock shelves, move furniture, and keep the showroom clean and organized.
- Store Operations:
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory checks.
- Help maintain the store’s overall appearance and atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and store objectives.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field (experience in interior design or furniture is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping customers.
- Ability to listen to customers’ needs and offer creative solutions.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and processing payments.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to contribute to a team environment.
- A basic understanding of interior design principles and home decor trends is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of furniture and home accessories.
- Previous experience in a boutique or locally-owned store setting.
- Interest in interior design and home styling.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
