What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Medical Equipment Planning position at Sugarbush Resort?
Position Summary: Sugarbush Resort is seeking a Water/Wastewater Utilities Director to join our Mountain Water team. The Utilities Director is responsible for all aspects of the Sugarbush owned Utilities, including planning, implementing, supervising, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating functions associated with the operation of the Utilities Companies.
The successful candidate will develop and modify services and systems in accordance with company needs and resources as well as government regulations. They will also develop and maintain budgets, both capital and operating, that ensure safe and proper operation of all facilities.
Responsibilities include ensuring adequate maintenance of infrastructure, working closely with the Facilities department, maintaining adequate parts inventory, addressing issues dealing with potential disasters, monitoring utility operations, supervising/assisting emergency situations, overseeing major construction and repair projects, developing and maintaining operational and capital budgets, supervisory responsibilities, overseeing staff daily operations, and maintaining customer relations with users of the systems.
Key qualifications for this position include a minimum requirement of Grade 2 State of Vermont Wastewater License, Grade 4B State of Vermont Water License, and at least 5 years of experience managing water and wastewater treatment systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to possess Vermont State Lab certification, ability to use equipment such as pumps, compressors and laboratory equipment, good mechanical skills with general knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, ability to work outside in various weather conditions, ability to work weekends and holidays, and ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, 2-way radio, and in person.
