Sugarbush Resort is hiring for a Lift Operations Supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Lift Operations Supervisor will plan, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate daily lift operations. Managing a skilled team of supervisors and over 100 lift operators, you will ensure timely lift openings, appropriate staffing, thorough training, and minimal service disruptions while being responsive to customer needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee and evaluate all daily lift operations for safety, efficiency, and adherence to resort standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitors of lift operations and related systems.
  • Assess staffing needs and make adjustments accordingly.
  • Manage the department's budget effectively.
  • Handle recruitment, hiring, coaching, and disciplinary measures.
  • Lead a team of supervisors and lift operators through training and cross-training initiatives.
  • Regularly confer with supervisory staff to coordinate activities and resolve any issues.
  • Contribute to risk management initiatives.
  • Ensure lifts open on time, staff are well-trained, service is seamless, and guest experience is prioritized.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a BA / BS degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in lift operations or at a ski resort, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Ability to address and resolve customer complaints and special requests is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, co-workers, and senior management.
  • Advanced skiing or riding skills are required.
  • Excellent administrative and personnel management skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage emergency situations efficiently.
  • A valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are mandatory.
