Sugarbush Resort is a year-round destination offering exceptional skiing and riding experiences, an award-winning ski school, mountain biking, golf, disc golf, and a fully appointed Health and Recreation Center.
We are seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Utilities Director to join our Mountain Water team. As the Utilities Director, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating all aspects of the Sugarbush-owned utilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adequate maintenance of infrastructure, including water/wastewater plants, pumps, pump systems, compressors, electrical components, and telemetry.
- Working closely with the Facilities department on snow removal/storm water plans and their impact on road maintenance, ditches, and sediment basins.
- Maintaining an adequate parts inventory for critical repair components and compiling/updating maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Addressing potential disasters related to environmental and safety risks at the facilities.
- Monitoring utility operations to ensure compliance with permit requirements and regulations.
- Supervising/assisting with service line breaks, plant equipment malfunctions, and other emergencies.
- Overseeing major construction and repair projects, including monitoring work by outside contractors.
- Developing and maintaining operational and capital budgets to ensure safe and proper operation of all facilities and meet long-term planning goals.
- Supervisory responsibilities include planning and assigning staff work, training, evaluating job performance, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, terminating, and recommending wages/salaries.
