What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Server position at Sugarfire Smokehouse?
Job Summary: The line server is responsible for most of the communication that will occur with guests along the service line. As such, line servers should be prepared to speak clearly, loudly, and have an excellent in-depth knowledge of all items on our menu.
Responsibilities:
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at station to assure a smooth service period.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work station area.
- Responsible for answering guests’ questions regarding menu items.
- Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
- Keeps calm in pressure situations.
- Maintains professionalism.
- Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
- Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
