A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARINE UPHOLSTERER
As a Marine Upholsterer, you are vital to our ability to serve our customers well. Using your well-honed skills, you transform the worn and faded interiors of our customers' boats into sturdy, beautiful furnishings. You come to work eager to tackle the challenge that each new project brings. Using hand tools, you break down the boat's old interior and then set to work fitting the new material, often performing tasks like drilling, gluing, stapling, riveting, and wiring to make everything fit just right. Sewing is another skill you call upon, either by hand or machine. As you work, you ensure that every detail is well-crafted and built to last. You enjoy that your job is both physical and mental. Climbing in and out of the boat keeps you active, and you get to use your problem-solving abilities, too. When you're done with a project, you step back and admire what you've made with your own hands. You love that you get to design and create beautiful interiors every single day!
