The Role:
As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting and A/P teams, for tracking financial and regulatory filings, and for supervising advisor engagements. You will work cross-functionally with departments and will own and manage relationships with service providers supporting key business functions. The Role:
As a Finance Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting and A/P teams, for tracking financial and regulatory filings, and for supervising advisor engagements. Key Responsibilities:
- Support AP, operational accounting, and related processes
- Drive financial and regulatory filing initiatives (state and federal)
- Support relationships with key service providers
- Project manage advisor and vendor engagements
- Work cross-functionally on critical operational projects
- Improve and automate finance and ops processes
- Support finance and treasury reconciliations
- 2 - 5 years of finance or accounting experience in assurance, consulting, fintech or crypto or venture capital environment
- CPA (preferred)
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Creative thinker with the ability to solve problems in ambiguous situations or with imperfect information
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
- Ability to plan for accounting and tax implications of future operations and provide recommendations
- Outstanding organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good attitude
- Ability to work independently and on a team, asynchronously
- Proficient with ERP software, preferably NetSuite
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and working with large data sets
- Financial modeling experience a plus
- SQL experience a plus
