Suisman Shapiro is currently seeking an experienced litigation paralegal who is likewise committed to join our team.
The candidate should have experience in managing a caseload of personal injury, motor vehicle, workers compensation, and/or employment cases, and a willingness to expand their knowledge of these practice areas. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Amicus Attorney, Worldox, the preparation of court documents, brief writing, settlement proposals and statute responsibility is preferred. Candidate will be responsible for handling a busy caseload from inception to settlement. Must be comfortable communicating with clients, utilizing technology, and completing projects independently. Strong customer services skills and a positive attitude are a must. Our paralegals work closely with attorneys to establish caring relationships with clients and carefully document their cases. The successful candidate will have extensive contact with insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel and other parties involved in the legal cases.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Relevant Certificate Program, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. Must have 2 years litigation experience. Excellent communication and people skills are essential. Must also be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
