Job Title: LA Superintendent
Overview: Coordinates and supervises field personnel to successfully complete the project(s) on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining high quality output, supervising all trades, while administering good safety practices.
Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit-Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Supervises surface treating and paving crews and other construction crews, prioritizes work.
- Interacts with customers, sales and production in order to be sure materials are ready for upcoming jobs.
- Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
- Conducts regular tailgate safety meetings.
- Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties, ensures proper project layout, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crewmember discipline and documentation.
- Reviews and approves time and quantities for crewmembers' timesheets to payroll by deadline.
- Attends branch operation meetings as required.
- Makes sure jobs are properly set up and ready to go for the crews throughout the season.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
- Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
- Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
- Travel is expected for this position and overnight stays may be required.
Anticipated Hours of Work: This is a full-time seasonal position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday, time as required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Supervisory Responsibility: The position directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Job Specifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years supervisory or foreman experience
- Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted, as well as passing random drug and alcohol screenings after starting employment
- Strong work ethic

Salary: $60,000-$62,500
