Job Description Summary:
Suite Living Hospice Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. This part-time position (1-2 days per week, 8-12 hours per week) offers the opportunity to provide therapeutic massage services to our patients, helping to improve their quality of life by alleviating symptoms and promoting relaxation. The Massage Therapist will work under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, following individualized care plans to address patient needs.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Collaborative Care: Work as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, delivering massage therapy to address a variety of symptoms, including agitation, restlessness, insomnia, pain, muscle tension, limited mobility, and general discomfort.

Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient needs through referrals and perform assessments to determine the appropriate therapeutic interventions and gauge their effectiveness.

Therapeutic Treatment: Administer therapeutic massage to patients in a manner that promotes relaxation, symptom relief, and overall comfort.

Documentation & Reporting: Observe and document patients' responses to treatment, reporting any changes in condition to the Clinical Supervisor or case manager. Ensure all clinical records, including progress notes, assessments, and coordination notes, are completed within 24 hours of each session and updated as necessary.

Collaboration: Maintain open communication with the care team to ensure that massage therapy is aligned with the patient's overall care plan and goals.
Position Qualifications:

Education & Certification: Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 500 hours of training. Must be a Certified Massage Therapist.

Licensure: Current licensure or certification as required by state law.

Driving Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license with an insured automobile in good working condition, in compliance with state and organizational requirements.
