We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing that will ensure the highest level of health and safety for our amazing residents and who has overseen one or more Assisted Living communities as an RN or has Director of Nursing experience in Senior Living.

Responsibilities:
- Training of all RN Care Managers within the designated region of communities.
- Manages and leads support/contact to the RN Care Managers with the designated region of communities.
- Assures all Policies/Procedures, Rules and Regulations by the MN Department of Health AL Licensing Division are fully trained, implemented and in use at each community.
- Conducts quarterly mock surveys within each community in conjunction with the RN Care Managers.
- Conducts routine audits of charts, training documentation, MAARC reports and assessments within Point Click Care and onsite at all RN Care Manager Nursing offices.
- Assists the Director of Nursing & Clinical Services with policy/procedure implementation as it relates to the Assisted Living Licensing requirements.
- Assures that proper systems, policies and procedures are developed and implemented correctly by licensed and unlicensed staff regarding the storage, set up, administration and disposal of medications, including systems to control Schedule II
- Audits Educare completion within all employees to assure compliance in training requirements.
- Assists the Director of Nursing & Clinical Services with implementing additional features to use within the clinical software program and creating continued efficiencies within the communities as growth continues.
- Reviews the staff communication log upon each visit to the communities.
- Assures all training requirements, programs and procedures are being conducted properly by the RN Care Managers within the region of communities.
- Oversees all assessments and pre-screens as they are approved for admissions. Review all CADI assessments and pre-screens in conjunction with the RN Care Manager to assure the needs of the potential resident can be met.
- Supports RN Care Managers as requested in participating in care conferences.
- Be onsite at the community when an investigation or survey is taking place.
- Be the support RN within the communities who have multiple new hire trainings to conduct and help coordinate group new hire training within all the communities within the designated region.
- Be the support RN within the communities who have multiple admissions any given week.
- Assists the RN Care Managers with CL Tools and 6790 submissions to the Medicaid Waiver Program as needed.
- Reviews all MAARC reports completed by the RN Care Manager before approving to be submitted to MDH.
- Takes on call and coverage at the nursing offices when a RN Care Manager is approved to take time off.
- On call as the backup support RN to the RN Care Managers as needed to answer triage questions for the care staff.
- Conducts quarterly staff meetings with the RN Care Managers in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Clinical Services.
- Assists in outreach to area Hospitals, Clinics, Homecare Agencies, Hospice companies and neighboring communities.
- Schedules CEU training for all care staff to attend throughout the year within the communities.
- Is flexible and willing to adapt to changes in our program as they occur to respond to the
- Reviews nursing related vendors and contracts on a routine basis in conjunction with the Director of Nursing & Clinical Services.

- Promotes the Suite Living nursing philosophy and care model within all communities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license in state of MN
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an assisted living setting
- Current knowledge of best practices for the elderly and residents with Dementia
- Current Knowledge of best practices for medication and narcotics in assisted living setting and memory care
- Experience with assessing and executing care of residents for assisted living and as they approach end of life care
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, community management officials, state regulatory agencies and agency staff, physicians, hospitals and the general public.
- Previous experience in training and conducting education seminars is preferred and beneficial.
- Must be screened and free for communicable diseases.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel to up to 7 communities as a region within the Twin Cities.
- Familiarity with Point-Click-Care highly desired.
- Previous experience with On-Call for triage care staff support highly desired.
