Suite Three Psychotherapy, a boutique psychotherapy practice with locations in both NYC AND Long Island, is growing and seeking two candidates: LMHC OR Limited Permit ( MHC-LP MUST be in Mental Health Counseling). This mental health therapist position offers both in-person and telehealth services. Currently hiring for in-person Long Island location, but hybrid with our NYC office is available to candidates with interest. The position(s) will be part-time initially, with the possibility of growing your caseload into a full-time position. You MUST be willing to do some in-person sessions. You will have opportunity to work remotely as well. Candidates interested in working with couples, teens, and families strongly encouraged to apply!
Suite Three Psychotherapy was designed to provide highly specialized care. As such, ideal candidates will be able to clearly define their modality, interests, and preferred client/patient they would like to work with. The practice is looking for clinicians who are comfortable with developing their niche as a psychotherapist/couple therapist or family therapist, rather than working with a broad range of patients clinical issues. The two candidates selected will have different clinical interests and are motivated to become experts in their respective areas of practice.
Responsibilities Duties
- Provide individual psychotherapy and/or couple therapy
- Conduct intake assessments
- Develop implement treatment plans, review quarterly and make adjustments based on clinical progress
- Maintain impeccable clinician progress notes in compliance with clinical and state requirements
- Manage scheduling changes for your patients/clients
- Respond to patients/clients in a timely manner
- Obtain patient's insurance information and complete insurance verification
- Data entry on EHR
Required Skills Abilities:
- Empathetic approach to clinical care
- Knowledge understanding of core clinical counseling principles
- Ability to utilize evidence-based practices and concepts
- Ability to identify theoretical approach(s)
- Must be responsible, reliable, organized, and punctual
- Attention to detail necessary
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with technology
- Computer proficient and able to function independently on EHR platforms, including troubleshooting when needed
- Must own a reliable computer (phone is not sufficient) with secure/reliable internet service to conduct telehealth appointments
- Ability to work both remotely 1-2 days a week in the Upper East Side office OR Long Island office.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree
- LMHC or MFT (Limited permit mental health counslers considered, call to inquire)
