- Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
- 1-Month Minimum Contract Assignment
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The ideal candidate should be able to answer pharmaceutical questions and display exceptional customer service skills. Candidate must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
- Fill medication for medication carts and deliver the medications to the medication rooms at the facility.
- Fill new prescription labels and deliver medications to nursing units.
- Oral medication prepackaging using the prepackaging machine.
- Receive pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals from the vendors and complete the receiving documentation.
- Assist with clerical duties as assigned, including preparation of reports by using Cerner, Microsoft Office and Business Objects.
- Assist with inventory management by adjustment of medication in the pharmacy computer system and participating with inventory.
- Maintain proper records, storage, security conditions for drugs and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Received and fills floor stock and refill orders, charge on computer to create labels and fill medication for review by pharmacists.
- Perform monthly medication room inspections as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
- Perform monthly expiration checks of medication in the area assigned by the pharmacy director.
- Perform monthly expiration check of emergency drug boxes as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
- Answer telephones and responds to questions and requests.
- Perform any pharmacy technician related work as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Must have current C.PH.T registration from Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must have current PTCB registration or equivalent approved by Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and background check
- Valid Photo ID
