Position Summary
Oversees warehouse operations and the storage of all inbound and outbound goods across Suja’s Oceanside facilities. Responsible for supervising warehouse teams of 20 employees per shift, managing all warehouse functions related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control. Ensures warehouse safety, productivity, and service efficiency standards are met.
The Warehouse Shift Supervisor is accountable for maintaining accurate data flow within Suja’s Warehouse Management ERP system (NetSuite and RF Smart) by utilizing reporting functions to monitor, adjust, and complete transactions that support business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for understanding all job duties under the shift supervisor’s oversight, supporting day-to-day warehouse operations. This may include operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and rack systems.
- Oversee all shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods in compliance with company SOPs and policies.
- Lead and develop the warehouse team to optimize safety, efficiency, productivity, inventory management, and FIFO control.
- Communicate warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements, ensuring staffing levels meet operational needs and deadlines.
- Supervise teams of employees and support all warehouse-related functions, including issuing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ensure KPIs for efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
- Verify data accuracy within the Warehouse Management ERP system (NetSuite/RF Smart).
- Perform data entry to complete transactions in a timely manner.
- Extract and analyze reports from NetSuite to support organizational needs.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to provide user training and promote system best practices.
- Assist in reviewing and reconciling the WMS inventory system.
- Implement continuous improvement activities by driving change management processes and adopting best practices.
- Facilitate and maintain all health and safety initiatives, including reporting hazards, incidents, and conducting investigations.
Job Qualifications
Education: Any form of college education or trade school certification is preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of warehouse and inventory management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management processes and systems.
- Proven experience managing teams across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and resolve problems, and meet deadlines.
- HACCP knowledge is preferred.
- Familiarity with 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management and ERP processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously by setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.
Language Skills: English fluency is mandatory, with bilingual Spanish fluency preferred. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with staff, coworkers, supervisors, buyers, and customers.

- Experience with storage bays, racking systems, inventory control practices, and FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive work environment.
- Agile and responsive to the needs of team members and organizational changes.
- Skilled in task prioritization and delegation when appropriate.
- Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide others.

Working Conditions
Working in a warehouse setting, in a cold environment with temperatures below 40°F. Work areas may be loud and confined spaces. Will require continuous exposure to noisy environments >85 dBa. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
May require need to complete forklift certification program and maintain certification. Adherence to strict safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation to prevent accidents and injuries.
Physical Demands
Ability to sit for extended periods, operate controls, and perform physical tasks associated with forklift operation. Excellent spatial awareness to navigate through tight spaces, aisles, and loading docks. Basic knowledge of forklift maintenance and the ability to conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Ability to load and unload materials, products, and pallets with precision and care. Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical exam.

Compensation
$23 - $28/HR DOE
