Position Summary

As a Bottling Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing production operations within a bottling facility. Your responsibilities will include managing daily activities, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing efficiency across the bottling line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Monitor quality control processes to meet product standards.

Bottling Schedule:

  • Manage bottling scheduling, inventory control, and staffing to ensure smooth bottling operations.
  • Efficiently operate the bottling line and train staff in line operations, safety protocols, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor production consistency and adherence to procedures.

Inventory Management:

  • Ensure accuracy of NetSuite.
  • Monitor inventories to ensure an adequate supply of bottles, caps, labels, and other materials.
  • Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and downtime.

Staff Supervision:

  • Delegate responsibilities among staff members.
  • Train and mentor team members on bottling procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Maintain professional communication with teams regarding their bottling requirements.
  • Prepare production reports, track performance metrics, and provide regular updates to management.

 Job Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing high-volume packaging lines, preferably in a bottling environment.
  • Familiarity with bottling machinery, quality control processes, and safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

 Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in using training software and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to assess training needs and develop relevant content.

 Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate, read, listen, and understand English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual a plus

 Other Abilities:

  • Ability to work well under time constraints and prioritize work in order to meet commitments/deadlines.
  • Ability to work cross-functional with other departments.

Working and Environmental Conditions

Working in a warehouse setting, in a cold environment with temperatures below 40°F. Work areas may be loud and confined spaces. Will require continuous exposure to noisy environments >85 dBa. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, sit, bend, and lift up to 50lbs with continuous motion. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders as needed. Physical agility to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Ability to work at heights when needed. Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Physical exam.

The Bottling Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that employees gain the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively and safely. By crafting engaging and practical training experiences, the manager contributes to the plant’s overall success by nurturing a capable and skilled workforce.
