Position Summary
The Sales Planning and Trade Analytics Manager will lead and manage team members dedicated to Sales Strategy application, Sales Planning/Forecasting, Business Performance and Budgetary goal reporting. This individual will play a key role in supporting the company’s overall S&OP process. The role reports into the Chief Sales Officer, working closely on initiatives that will maximize results across all channels and to critical company goals. Identifying and implementing new processes and methods to help the Sales Team operate efficiently and effectively and enable optimal decision making. The expectation is that this team member will utilize their experience, intellectual curiosity, and passion to be successful in the role by fostering both a disciplined approach and collaborative environment to drive exemplary results.
This sales leader will utilize business acumen with an in-depth knowledge of Sales Planning and an understanding of the role they play across multiple teams (Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain). Needs to be a critical thinker and have extensive technical and project ownership experience. Must be an initiative-taker, flexible thinker, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable learning quickly and connecting the dots by using exceptional analytical and people skills. Must have the ability to synthesize information across disparate data sources and turn into clear and actionable insights. Team management and development will be key as we evolve the department and overarching business.

- Partnership with Field Sales and Sales Finance on Existing and White Space Customer Developmental

- Ad hoc Reporting for Field Sales, Business Development and Leadership
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Planning: Provides Leadership in All Aspects of Reporting, Planning, and Analytics within the monthly sales planning and forecasting process.
- Critical Sales Planning Process and Responsibilities include:
- Sales Reporting/Business Performance:
- Leveraging current and developing new tools in partnership with Sales Finance and Other Cross Functional partners
- Annual Planning Leadership:
- Yearly Top-Down and Bottoms-up Budget and Forecasting Process active ownership and sales leadership
- Goal Setting (Annual) along with Tracking & Analyzing (Monthly)
- S&OP – Sales Related Reporting and Partnership Lead
Trade Planning and Execution:
- Development, Communication, Analytics and Tracking for constant improvement
- Sales AMPS-Ownership of Trade and Pricing related strategy, materials, and training of sales organization
Effective Tool Development and Utilization:
- Identify and Implement New Tools and Processes to Enable More Disciplined Management and Tracking of Top Priorities (Customer Projects and Initiatives), Execution, and Results
Team and Company Meeting Active Planning and Support:
- Active role in all Sales Meetings to provide sales team visibility, tracking, accountability measures, and goal achievement
- Provides Sales Support for Monthly Company Business Review and Related Board Meetings
Sales Scorecarding Leadership:
- This team member and direct reports will track and effectively report out monthly, quarterly and at year end against Sales Scorecard results.
Cross-Functional Work:
- Build and Maintain Collaborative Cross-Functional Relationships
- Partnering with Marketing, Category Management, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Collaboration to include but not limited to P&L analysis and alignment, Pricing initiatives, Competitive activity assessment and recommended action plan, and New Item or Segment launch forecasting and support
Ad-hoc initiatives and strategic project work as needed, with commitment to process, tool and result continuous improvement.
