Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Experience in university, government or commercial accounting, or equivalent training, business operations, law or compliance management. Must have the ability to interpret federal and state rules and guidelines to write university policy statements in relation to compliance rules to safeguard university community. Student affairs knowledge preferred, J.D. preferred.
- Ability to work on complex and confidential issues utilizing judgement, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Experience in compliance reporting.Some or all experience at a university. Responsible for investigating student related concerns to include University investigations into discriminatory harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct. Performs a range of risk management functions related to compliance reporting as required by federal, state agencies and private inquiries.
Equipment/Skills:General computer skills; spreadsheet skills, other standard office machines, report writing.

Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Essential: Develop and maintains policies and procedures related to Title IX Compliance, VAWA and Clery Reporting and state mandated trainings. Review and verify compliance with federal and state regulations. Develop plans to mitigate and monitor the progress of activities within compliance realms, create and disseminate reports, and communicate to key stakeholders regarding the risk profile of the university. Will have primary responsibility for monitoring and overseeing the University’s compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Violence Against Women Act, the Clery Act, and other applicable laws and regulations relating to sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, and sexual assault. Develops and implements education programs regarding sex discrimination and sexual harassment prevention, ensuring faculty, staff and students understand their rights and, where applicable, responsibilities under the law. Oversees and coordinates investigations, responses and resolutions to complaints. Create and respond to reports required by TSUS and others, SRSU Executive Staff. Participate in safety committees. Conduct surveys and audits to ensure a safe environment and compliance with safety standards. Alpine and RGC SRSU campuses compliance oversight.
Working Conditions: Office conditions; standard hours, some travel to RGC campuses may be required. Position is Security Sensitive. Any qualifications to be considered in lieu of stated minimums require the prior approval of the Human Resources Director.
