Job Title : Part Time Faculty Natural Resource Management Location : Alpine Department : Natural Sciences Posting Date : 04 / 11 / 2019 Until Filled : Yes Salary : $2,550-3,200 based on degree and enrollment Required : Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 semester credit hours or demonstrated expertise in the field to be taught. Preferred : Doctoral degree and prior University teaching experience. Primary Responsibilities : Teach Natural Resource Management courses. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. This position is security sensitive. Salary Detail : Masters Degree under 20 students $850 / credit or $2,550 per 3 SCHMasters Degree over 20 students $500 extraPh.D. under 20 students $900 / credit or $2,700 per 3 SCHPh.D. over 20 students $500 extraSummer Faculty $4,200 per 3 SCH, max 6 SCH per session, prorated for fewer than 10 students Summer courses above the max 6 SCH are paid at the overload rate of $2,130 Other Information : Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.A paper copy of the report will be provided upon request. At an elevation of 4,480 feet, and on the periphery of the Chihuahuan Desert, Alpine enjoys mild winters and cool summers. Davis Mountains State Park, Fort Davis National Historic Site, Big Bend National Park, and Guadalupe Mountains National Park are all within one to three hours driving distance from Alpine. The SRSU campuses in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde comprise Rio Grande College. RGC offers upper-level courses leading to bachelor’s degrees as well as master’s degree programs and works closely with its partner institution, Southwest Texas Junior College, to provide a seamless transition to RGC for their students. All RGC students hold an Associate degree from an accredited institution or they have completed 42 semester credit hours of transferrable work.
