Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS Job Details Stepdown ICU RN needed ASAP in southwest Indiana for a 13 week contract on nights Unit will primarily see critical drips, DKA on insulin drips, overdoses and suicide ideations. Will potentially take MedSurg patients, if needed. No additional float is required and no on call Very traveler friendly hospital Job Requirements 2 years within specialty required Travel preferred Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS - preferred Schedule Information Shifts 7-7 Self-scheduling is used but is not finalized until Manager balances it. They will allow block scheduling, but it is not guaranteed. Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Rotate in with perm staff Unit Specific Information Unit / Department specific orientation : 2 days; 3 12 hour shifts Additional Details Common diagnoses / Types of patients : DKA, Sepsis, COPD, CHF, PN, abd pain, minor surgical, SBO, covid Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes Common titratable & / or set rate drips : All common drips Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : Manager available M-F, House Supervisor available on nights and weekends. Are there nurse aids on this unit / Ratios : Yes - 2 on days, 1 on nights RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) : Vents, Cpap and BiPap Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? : Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips
