Description
Executive Account Managers serve in a hybrid role combining the role of Account Manager and Account Executive for the client's assigned to them. In addition, they collaborate with Producers to establish new relationships and uphold existing client connections. Their responsibilities encompass delivery comprehensive insurance coverage and account servicing on their assigned clients.
Requirements
New Business Development
Partner with Producers to obtain new clients
Review producer generated fact finding form and obtain additional information as needed
Enter prospect information into Agency Management Systems to prepare submissions
Market selection, negotiation and Proposal preparation
Bind and confirm coverage using placement sheet and filing documentation into Agency Management Systems
Maintain Client Relationships
Ensure that clients are properly and adequately insured by evaluating client's exposure to loss, communicating needs to the clients, and revising coverage where necessary. Use SCM Fact-finding forms and coverage checklist and other tools to evaluate exposures
Work closely with other assigned individuals and departments on accounts in accordance with agency procedural manuals and quality control program
Obtain updated renewal exposures from client 60 days in advance of renewal date
Review and sign off on all policies prior to delivery
Educate clients on our value-added approach and unique SCM services
Follow up with insured to collect all premiums
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
5 years account management experience or equivalent
Hold current and valid Property and Casualty insurance license
Hold at least one professional designation or be willing and able to obtain within 18 Months.
Has ability to produce professional and complete proposals and can confidently deliver presentations to clients and carriers
Has ability to develop plans and solutions and act upon them and take responsibility for outcomes
Has knowledge and experience necessary for independent decision-making ability
Possess a supportive and responsive manner with internal and external customers
Has ability to multi-task in complex working environment with accuracy and proficiency
Possess excellent technical skills on insurance coverage and markets
Possess strong computer and communication skills
Ability to set up and conduct meetings in a virtual environment such as Teams and Zoom including the ability to share screens and make presentations (ex. PowerPoint, Proposals, etc.)
