What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Manager position at Sullivan Environmental Services Inc?
DESCRIPTION
The main goal of this role is to ensure Inventory, physically and systematically, stay within organizational parameters, along with overseeing Inventory Supervisory Personnel. The Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining and organizing the overall inventory, inventory related processes, ensuring their staff are trained, organized, and maintaining best practices for inventory management. The Inventory Manager will be engaged with all departmental management.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION
- 2 years of Inventory experience
- Great verbal, written, reading, and communication skills are required.
- Effective computer skills (Knowledge with Microsoft programs – Excel, Word, Office, Etc.) Google sheets
- Valve repair experience and field service work, preferred, however not required.
- Previous Leadership/Supervisor experience, preferred, however not required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Supervise, Coordinate, & Define duties within Inventory Department.
- Train all Inventory supervisory personnel in all their functions, duties, and processes.
Pick, pull, and record all equipment.
- Maintain Inventory/Warehouse personnel training records and ensure they are up to date.
- Maintain adequate inventory based off customer requirements, min/max levels, and trends.
- Ensure equipment is being loaded & unloaded in a safe and timely manner.
- Manage/Delegate
Shipping Log is being maintained.
Bill of Laden(s) wrote and maintained.
Shipment(s) match paperwork. (Load sheet(s), Delivery Ticket(s), Transfer(s) prior to shipment.
Coordinate trucking.
All pertinent paperwork (Packing Slip, transfer, MTR’s, Test Chart(s), etc.) ships with equipment.
Receiving Log is being maintained.
All pertinent paperwork (Packing List, MTR’s, &/or COC/LOC) arrived with the shipment of equipment.
Unload, sort, visually inspect incoming equipment.
Verify quantities and equipment documentation to purchase order(s) or transfers
Check all information regarding the equipment received (Part #’s, Ser. #’s, stamping, etc.)
Distribute incoming equipment to proper location(s)
Preservation of equipment.
Utilize First In First Out (FIFO) practices
Vendor non-conformances
- Data entry / Communication
Ensure documentation is submitted to the purchasing department.
Maintain pertinent spreadsheets
Maintain constant communication with all departments.
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
- Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.
