The Pipeline Measurement Specialist oversees the accurate measurement, accounting, and reporting of liquid volumes within our pipeline system. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor pipeline liquid losses and gains, investigating discrepancies.
- Calculate volumes for tank movements as needed.
- Maintain and verify the pipeline liquid accounting system.
- Confirm and reconcile reports with third-party companies.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of OMNI flow computers.
- Ensure proper completion of paperwork related to pipeline measurement systems.
- Support the pipeline operations team with measurement, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and calibrate flow meters, gauges, and other measurement devices.
- Develop and update pipeline measurement policies and procedures.
- Assist operations with troubleshooting pipeline communication systems and DCS (Distributed Control System).
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in pipeline measurement or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of measurement devices such as turbine, ultrasonic, and positive displacement meters.
- Familiarity with OMNI flow computers, SCADA systems, and DCS troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze and reconcile pipeline losses and gains.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASTM) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and external teams.
