Alpha Machine, LLC. located in Rincon Ga. is looking for a CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team. The Programmer / Machinist will operate and maintain production needs on CNC machine(s) and maintain the quality of the parts by inspecting part dimensions given by the appropriate method. Qualifications :
Experience as a CNC Mill / Lathe Programmer
The following experience is a plus.
3 years Programming (minimum)
Master Cam
HAAS Vertical Mill
HAAS Horizontal Mill (Pallet Pool)
HAAS Lathe
3, 4, and 5 axis programming
Experience as a CNC Machinist (5 years minimum)
Knowledge of CNC machine(s) setup.
Operate all aspects of the machine(s); (powering machines up and down, restarts, faults, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret sketches and blueprints including GD&T.
Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
Must be able to select, align, secure holding fixture, and set offsets for, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on mills and / or lathes.
Knowledge of drills, taps, endmills, and inserts including wear characteristics, insert style, insert nose radius and grade of insert.
Ability to change inserts, drills, endmills, boring bars, etc. when needed and return all usable tooling to the tool crib.
Ability to read and use caliper, micrometer, and other measuring equipment.
Ability to communicate with the department, Quality Control Inspectors and Manager.
Responsibilities :
Create a program, set up machine, run first part, inspect for quality and complete first article inspection.
Work overtime when needed as determined by business needs.
Sets up and operates special purpose equipment, CNC lathe and / or machining centers, conventional lathe and / or mill, for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within the organization.
Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machined parts and adjusts machine controls as required to maintain quality.
Reads and interprets BOM, blueprints, sketches, drawing, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
Responsibilities include loading material into machines for production of parts; reading part prints, dimensions, and tolerances; verifying dimensions of parts, using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth gauges and fixed gauges; adjusting programs and / or tooling to ensure parts are being produced to print.
Ability to work independently, work to deadlines and possess excellent time management skills.
Maintains a focus on quality.
Perform housekeeping of machine and work area.
Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.
