What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Teacher/Band Director position at Sullivan Middle School?
Minimum Qualifications:
SC certification in Instrumental Music
Knowledge of effective instructional techniques for middle level band students
Band directing experience preferred
Experience in all areas of band instruction (marching, concert, jazz ensemble, and other instrumental instruction) preferred
Ability to work with parents, different organizations, and fellow teachers
Excellent public relations skills
Outstanding references from current/former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 200 days
Starting Date: 2025-2026 School Year
