What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Detailer position at SULLIVAN MOTORS INC?
What does an Automotive Detailer Do?
Wash the exterior of vehicles using various cleaning solutions.
Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines.
Vacuum interior of automobiles to remove dirt and debris.
Shampoo interior carpets.
Clean upholstery and surfaces.
Clean and remove grease on engines or engine compartments.
Wash and vacuum all inventory on regular rotating basis
Maintain internal and external dealership image to provide a clean, crisp, and inviting environment for customers.
Assist Sales Department & Service Department when needed.
Test drive vehicles when necessary.
May require completion of work outdoors and under varying climate conditions.
Qualifications :
Valid drivers's license required
The ability to drive both automatic and manual shift vehicle
2 or more years of detailing experience preferred but not required
Clarity of vision and hearing
Be able to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs.
Commitment to report to work on time and stay on task during shift
Desire to treat each vehicle with great care and respect
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work as a team player and interact with customers, managers and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Position requires frequent movement; i.e. bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and getting into and out of various vehicles repeatedly during the work shift.
Frequent and continual flexing of spine, hands, wrists and fingers.
Work with and move numerous vehicles during the course of the working day.
Ability to distinguish small imperfections in your work, such as, streaks left on windows, smudges on windows or painted surfaces, areas of missed vacuuming, etc.
Ability to quality inspect your work as well as that of other team members.
