SENIOR ENGINEER
Scope Of Responsibilities
This position is intended for a highly technical and experienced valve engineer. Must be very experienced with valve applications and designs ranging from very basic to engineered to order. The focus on quick turnaround and sound designs that comply with industry codes and satisfies customer requirements is crucial. This position will also work with our sales team to present our technical expertise to our customers and gain customer confidence to win orders. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a manufacturing environment and display strong cross functional communication skills.

SENIOR ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and collaborate with company on designing, creating BOM’s, and drawings that meet our customer’s requirements.
- Participate in the development of new products and technology as well as continuous improvement of current and existing products and technologies.
- Develop and execute testing plans for validating new product functionality and features.
- Appropriately size and apply severe service control valve trim for noise attenuation and cavitation control.
- Support control valve application engineering.
- Support shop floor by providing thorough and accurate dispositions on non-conforming valves as well as quickly implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales on DFM (design for manufacture) and Value Engineering projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, quality, and finance to resolve customer issues.
- Ensure product safety through proper and thorough design review.
- Support continuous improvement projects.
- Support the quality program by cataloging customer issues and working with team to implement corrective actions.
- Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and codes. Ensure commitments are agreed, reviewed and met.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers.
- Exceptional communication and relationship skills across all functional areas
- Knowledge of analytical engineering methods such as CFD, FEA etc.
- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ISA, and other control valve standards.
- Proficient in ERP and PDM systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with CAD and Solid Works
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 year’s experience in a valve engineering role
- This position is on-site at our facility in Houston (near 290 and Beltway 8).
