Job Description: Truck Driver
Purpose of Job: Performs and safely operates vehicles as required. This includes pick up the customers equipment for repair and safely transporting the equipment to the Service Center and then back to the customer. This includes the knowledge of properly securing the load as required by regulation and safely operating large flat bed vehicles amongst the public. Drivers will be expected to be able to be properly licensed, medically capable and have the knowledge to operate the class of vehicle they will be assigned to drive. The Truck Driver will also support other duties which includes transferring parts from one area to another, cleaning machines and trucks, and other duties as outlined by the Operation Leader to support all and any jobs contracted by Sulzer EMS.
Qualification Requirements
Age/Experience: Must be 18 or older according to specific State law; 21 or older for Interstate operations: previous experience is desired but not required.
Abilities: Must be licensed for the type of vehicle to be driven. Must be able to pass a DOT Physical if operating any vehicle over 10,001lbs GVW Interstate. Must be able to read and understand the English language. Physical and mental abilities to learn and perform job functions properly and in a timely manner, especially functions affecting the safety of anyone on site.
Qualifications: Experience with equipment used by Sulzer EMS; other experience related to the processes performed on Sulzer EMS jobs; and the ability to read, write and converse fluently in English. Valid Drivers license for the equipment that will be operated. CDL is required. TWIC card required.
