We are looking for a/an Hydraulic Test Engineer to join our Services_AME team in United States .
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct hydraulic performance tests on centrifugal pumps for new and refurbished equipment using computer-aided testing and basic instruments.
- Generate performance test curves and validate data for customers and internal test records.
- Interface with customers on test scope.
- Design test fixtures as required, provide job-specific test instructions, layouts, and drawings to the shop.
- Prepare written test procedures and agendas for customer submittal.
- Provide test scope and cost estimation support to Tendering for pump test quoting.
- Evaluate pump performance, issue work instructions to the shop for pump rework as needed.
- Analyze and troubleshoot test non-conformances.
- Plan and support ongoing test equipment maintenance and upgrade program.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Promotes and maintains an image of technical excellence and high integrity.
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and ESH Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- BSME or equivalent engineering degree required.
- 5 years’ experience with pump curves and pump performance evaluation.
- Engineering-related software experience.
- Good interpersonal, communication, computer, and hydraulic/fluid handling skills and knowledge.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
