Job Description:
Successful candidate will perform a wide range of configuration management (CM) and engineering data management (EDM) tasks related to aircraft weapon systems, subsystems, and related equipment. Sumaria is a seeking a highly motivated candidate with a recommend minimum of seven years fighter aircraft maintenance or CM experience in avionics, mechanical systems and/or structures.
Responsibilities include being able to:
- Provide technical/logistics support services for F-16 systems, sub-systems and programs in the areas of avionics, mechanical systems and structures. Assist to prepare and recommend documents and plans; assist with CM, technical data for specific country F-16 aircraft system and sub-systems; assist to identify country specific baseline configuration and track and document country specific system and sub-systems configuration. Support the actions and documentation required to monitor and track TCTOs necessary in correcting deficiencies such as operating instructions, overhaul or repair procedures, and/or modifications to the aircraft.
- Support EDCS, ECP, CCP, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), EPR, and Organic Change Review/Notice (OCRIN), and provide recommendations regarding Technical Review Board (TRB), JRRB and F-16 CCP. Assist the Government with the preparation and coordination of the required documentation and briefings for ECP, TRB, JRRB and F-16 CCP (JMCCT/B, MSP, and FD reviews) processing for supported aircraft.
- Support FMS Mission Capable (MICAP) coordination to include receiving FMS MICAP requests, developing and coordinating FMS MICAP packages, and updating the tracking database.
- Assist with input for material and supply DRs.
- Support technical input and recommendations for validation and verification aspects of the development and fielding of various Government and commercial publications and serve as the single POC for country specific systems.
- Support and participate as a CM member of IPTs to ensure CM is addressed. Assist to facilitate recommendations on program milestones and schedules, identify and assess risks, develop WBS, form/fit/function/interface and Class I versus II determinations. Assist to coordinate with applicable functional groups to ensure CM processes and procedures are followed.
- Assist with development and maintenance of technical data.
- Assist to facilitate recommendations regarding technical feasibility studies; assemble pertinent data, and coordinate technical features with applicable engineers and system equipment specialists.
- Assist to facilitate problem areas on assigned systems and sub-systems using following programs: D043, ITODS, FIN, JEDMICS, Fed Log, Haystack and other databases relating to the aircraft and its systems
- Assist with recommending other programs and tools to be considered for use in ensuring the operation and evaluation of assigned weapon systems.
- Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/tech data verification. Assist to facilitate report findings, kit issues, corrective actions and make recommendations to the responsible modification manager or PM. Support USAF material managers and prime Contractors to provide assistance in development of an accurate listing of recommended spares and support equipment items for sustainment of the F-16 fleet.
- Support coordination, program management and program review meetings. Assist with the preparation of technical material, management presentations and informational material in support of meetings, minutes, agendas, and compilation of briefings.
- Assist to maintain active and accurate databases.
- Assist in the review of technical data, drawings, and specifications to determine sources of manufacture and repair/maintenance and assist to analyze and evaluate minor deviations in technical requirements.
Required Skills/Education:
Candidate must demonstrate s/he has the knowledge and demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of tasks required to support data/configuration/project managers supporting a wide variety of aircraft acquisition and modification programs.
This position requires someone who is self-motivated and proactive. You will be required to identify and solve problems, plan and execute business meetings, and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines.
The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Independent proficiency in MS Office tools is required. Experience with TEAMS and CVR is highly preferred.
Education:
* BA/BS, ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD.
* OR, 15 years of directly related experience described in the job description, five of which must be in the DoD.
