Sumaria has an opening for a Procurement Professional Associate supporting the RGNext Operations Center in Huntsville, AL. RGNext operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial and international space lift vehicles.
- Process purchase requisitions to issue and administer purchase orders for goods or services ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) , Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), and user requirements
- Train to understand and apply all aspects of bids, requests for quotes and proposals, including precise specifications, supporting spreadsheets, comparisons, recommendations, and justifications.
- Provide liaison services between vendors and departments for order status (expediting), procurement procedures, and problem resolution; research sources of supply; advise departments on cost effective alternatives.
- Assist in bid openings for competitive solicitations such as requests for quotes, bids, and proposals.
- Review and evaluate contracts and agreements (to include software agreements); issue award letters and purchase orders, negotiate change orders, and determine sole source validity.
- Maintain data regarding supplier information, files, reports, price lists on assigned commodities; negotiate prices and terms.
- Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.
- Expedite shipping and deliveries, price changes, and vendor back orders.
- Validate, reconcile, and process receiving reports, vendor invoices, and other payment documents.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Preferred experience:
- Have familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements.
- Experience expediting orders with suppliers.
- Negotiating purchases and vendor agreements.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
