Planner

Primary Responsibilities:
Progresses on a daily basis the flow of sales orders and work orders through manufacturing. Interfaces with manufacturing supervision to ensure schedule adherence and keeps customer service informed of product status.
· Logs, tracks, and secures master scheduling sign‑off for each customer order. Performs computer input for sales order database and maintains the shipping schedule.
· Translates the Master Schedule into a detailed work order schedule. Liaison with production supervisors/management, Master Scheduling, to ensure the timely staging of all lots for production. Producing a feasible coordinated schedule widely communicated across all manufacturing resources.
· Prepares and publishes a regular WIP (Work In Progress) summary report for management. Maintains and posts graphically production output, Work In Progress and shipping performance results. Updates daily shipment status.
· Improve on time order completions by identifying and resolving production bottlenecks. Reduce inventory by accurately predicting start and completion times for each operation for tighter scheduling of operations and material availability.
· Research and resolves unplanned over and under issues (inventory levels). Monitor and communicate with shipping department on the status of critical orders and any changes to the status of customer orders.
· Liaison between Production Control and Customer Service/Marketing; resolves all administrative differences between the two parties and ensures that all changes are correctly documented. In particular, ensures that all anticipated shipping delays are communicated to Customer Service verbally as soon as known; also documents fully to Customer Service such anticipated delays.
· Interfaces with Document Control, Production, Inspection, QA, and Shipping to progress work orders to meet the master schedule and shipping schedule.
· Maximizes daily efficiency or reactor scheduling order and must have the ability to adapt quickly and prioritize competing demands.
· Ability to gauge machine capability with product demands and interchangeable parts.
· May perform other duties as assigned.
· Employees are expected to read and follow the environmental and safety (EHS) requirements associated with their assigned duties, complete required EHS training on time, wear prescribed personal protective equipment and report all hazardous situations they observe and any injuries or incidents they experience or become aware of. Employees are also expected to fully participate in safety activities, drills and meetings as directed by supervision.
This job pays 70K-75K per year.
Education and Skills Required:
Associate's degree in business or related field and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a materials control related function or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Advanced written and oral skills are required.
Computer knowledge in spreadsheets, graphs, and materials management programs is also preferred.
Ability to identify Chemicals.
Mathematical inclination and Manual calculation preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to push, pull, and lift with exertion up to 50 lbs. of force in specific work areas. Various movements including sitting, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, and gripping.
