Scope of Work
As an independent architectural designer on our platform, your responsibilities may include:
- Developing conceptual and schematic design solutions based on client needs.
- Producing detailed construction drawings and 3D models using CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Preparing floor plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
- Drafting professional proposals and statements of work that clearly define deliverables, scope, fees, and schedules.
- Quoting project pricing based on scope, complexity, and location—ensuring alignment with platform standards.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure constructability and code compliance.
- Communicating with clients throughout the design process and making adjustments as necessary.
- Conducting site assessments or virtual reviews (when applicable).
- Adhering to applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a design firm or independent practice
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, technical knowledge, and project experience
Software Proficiency
- AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp (required)
- Adobe Creative Suite and other 3D modeling tools (preferred)
Required Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in building codes and construction documentation
- Experience preparing fee proposals and scope of work narratives
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Time and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating virtually
- Leadership and team coordination abilities (a plus)
