Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional manner
- Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medical documentation
- Utilize medical terminology and coding (ICD-9, ICD-10, HCPCS) in daily tasks
- Perform clerical duties related to customer interactions
- Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines

Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records, and insurance verification
- Strong organizational skills to manage customer data effectively
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)
- Ability to handle sensitive customer information with confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service role is preferred

Pay: $15.36 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Columbia, SC (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Columbia, SC: Relocate before starting work (Required)
