Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and continuous operation of building infrastructure, manufacturing, and production equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repair, maintenance, installation, and enhancement of machinery, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This position will also focus on predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance while designing and implementing long-term improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of building infrastructure and production/manufacturing equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose issues, conduct condition assessments, and recommend necessary modifications, repairs, and capital improvements.
• Manage building space planning, modifications, and expansions according to design standards.
• Conduct predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
• Coordinate and execute facility inspections, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Experience with facility maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality system compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and reliability programs.
• Certifications in relevant technical fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Experience:

• HVAC: 1 year (Required)
• mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance: 1 year (Required)
• preventive, and proactive maintenance: 1 year (Required)
