Warehouse Material Handler (2nd shift)

Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler

Pay Rate – $20/hr. on W2

Location: Troy, NY 12180

Job Duration: 12 months after starting (Temp to Perm)

Work shift – 2nd shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Job Description:

· Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

· Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts

· Performs work from detailed instructions and maintains daily production output with accurate records of the work performed and other records as may be required by management.

· As required, with guidance, provide data for formal reports (oral and written) of the work

· Limited decision making, related to the scope of the specific task with guidance.

· Complies with all EHS, Training and Quality procedures and policies

· Under supervision, performs routine troubleshooting of process or equipment. Brings equipment irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.

· Use Lean tools to improve established processes and metrics in daily work. Participates in Action Workouts

· Make acquired skills or knowledge available to others; train others on manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications:

· High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 2 or more years of related experience

· Demonstrated ability to work well with general direction and information

· Demonstrated proficiency to utilize computerized work

· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to consistently lift up to 50lbs

· Able to use pallet jacks

Job Types: Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Material Handling & Movement: 2 years (Required)
• operating pallet jacks: 2 years (Required)
• warehouse: 2 years (Required)
