Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Install Buffer Technician to join our team for a 9month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing maintaining and repairing equipment with a focus on scales and pointofsale (POS) systems. This role requires travel across multiple towns in Alabama providing technical support calibration and certification services for scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect calibrate and certify scales to ensure compliance with State of Alabama regulations.
- Install maintain and repair scales and POS systems ensuring optimal functionality.
- Submit documentation to the State of Alabama and NCR for certification purposes.
- Perform Tier II work on products and services of mediumhigh complexity including ATMs retail POS terminals and networking equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance routines and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Respond to customer calls identify problems and escalate issues as needed.
- Verify site environments meet installation requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel extensively (up to 60%) within assigned territories including overnight stays when necessary.
- Capture detailed customer asset information and report all service activities accurately.
