Production Control Coordinator
To keep the department functioning, the Production Control Coordinator needs to understand the department’s operations and take an initiative on purchasing for the items that the factory needs to avoid production stopping.
Monitoring the expedited orders (follow through with customer service), coordinating with the Production team to achieve on-time deliveries.
Assist the Production Control Manager & the Assistant Production Control Manager in processing various documents, reports, etc.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders, place, trace and receive orders
- Responsible for maintaining safe stock for perishable tools
- Responsible for subcontracting work for Mexico and coordinating with the Production and Shipping/Receiving team. The responsibilities include:
- Selecting jobs for subcontractors and shipping out based on the shipment plan
- Generate purchase orders and other documents and send them to the subcontractor on time
- Trace jobs and share updates on the jobs with the Production team
- Communicate with the subcontractor on any issues or questions
- Locate work orders that need to be expedited
- Communicate with the Production team to obtain new delivery dates and reply back to the customer with a professional manner
- Assist the Production Control Manager & the Assistant Production Control Manager in processing various documents, reports
- Act as back up for Administrative Assistant with maintaining UPS Import Customs spreadsheet, disputes
- Use the ACE portal and check the US Customs Entry Summary for each import to verify it is correct
- Claim UPS for any correction on the Entry Summary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required or a combination of education and 3-5 years’ experience. Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Must have good communication skills through phone and computer use
- Advanced computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Maintains a positive attitude and is able to persevere in the face of adversity, inspiring others with an infectious “can-do” mindset
- Works well with team members and cross-functional departments, providing support and problem-solving solutions during high pressure situation.
- Must demonstrate ability to effectively apply good judgment, detail orientation, and independent decision-making skills
- APEX certification, preferred but not required
Work Environment: Manufacturing office, with occasional trips to manufacturing areas. Occasional travel for company business may be required.
