Department Overview :
The Americas Division (“AD”) was established in the Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, New York Branch) (“SMTBNY”) to perform corporate functions and supervise U.S. entities. Established under the AD are the “Global Banking Unit (“GBU”), Americas Division” and “Global Market Unit (“GMU”), Americas Division” which performs business functions. The Treasury Team (“MTR”) focuses on Funding Activities and Security and Forex Investments. The Treasury Team is divided into the ALM and Investment Accounts. The Front Office Risk Management & Administration Team’s (“FORMAT / MFM”) primary responsibility is to establish and maintain a sound risk management structure regarding compliance and operational risks within the GMU.
Your Role Overview :
Treasury Risk Analyst
Primarily responsible for monitoring liquidity risks in Americas Division to comply with internal and regulatory requirements. Provide liquidity risk monitoring reports, perform stress scenario updates, and improve reports for accurate and timely reporting.
FORMAT Analyst
Primarily responsible for monitoring regulations. Work with risk owners to ensure that GMU complies with all required regulations. Perform tasks concerning credit line management, performs account maintenance and assist traders with necessary risk management and infrastructure management. Liaison with Head Office.
Your Duties and Responsibilities :
Treasury Risk Analyst
- Ensure stress testing is performed to assess the impact of cash movements for heightened monitoring and reporting.
- Collect, analyze, and scrutinize liquidity risk data from various departments, and update stress test scenarios, assumptions, and contingency funding plan.
- Implement other risk management frameworks and ensure they are performed.

The anticipated salary range for this role is listed above. The specific salary offered to an employment applicant is based on the individual’s qualifications, experiences, the job responsibilities, an analysis of the current compensation paid for similar roles in the local geographic area, and key distinctions of the job as compared to current jobs in the Branch. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
