Job Title: Manufacturing (Production) Test Technician
Location: Allentown PA
Shift/Hours: 1st Shift [6:50 am – 2:50 pm] – Shifts may vary after completion of training
Salary: $23.00 per hour
Reports To: Production Supervisor/ManagerSumitomo Cryogenics of America, Inc. (Allentown) is currently seeking a Manufacturing (Production) Test Technician who will work within the production environment, utilizing their hands-on skills, experience and learned knowledge of our products to ensure manufactured products are produced in accordance with customer and company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Testing products using automated and manual valves.
- Ability to use digital and analog measuring tools including multimeters, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, Power, and hand tools.
- Filling liquid nitrogen dewars when needed.
- Uploading firmware via USB and control cables to product
- Working with Helium pressurized product
- Performing Helium leak checks on products produced
- Data entry for recording information on voltages, pressures, flow rates, water temperatures and oil temperatures
- Communicating closely with production team as well as working with other departments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and a two-year technical degree; or a combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of hands-on demonstrated experience testing, repairing and maintaining equipment is required. Any experience with electro-mechanical equipment is a plus.
- Previous experience with HVAC equipment is ideal.
- Knowledge of and experience with process and gas purification systems is a plus.
- Experience with computers and Microsoft office.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Hands-on skills with diagnostics software to upload firmware via USB connection.
- Hands-on skills in use of hardware, tools, and measurement techniques.
- Proficient in the use of mechanical tools and service test equipment; a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude is required.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and escalate for problem-solving.
- Understanding of electrical safety testing required.
